THE SAFE TO LAND PROJECT

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing this website and completing a purchase, you (“you” or “the purchaser”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Purchase.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use this website or complete a purchase.

2. NATURE OF THE SERVICE

The Safe To Land Project (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a business-led initiative operated by Digital Difference CONSULTING. We do not sell products for delivery to purchasers.

Instead, each purchase represents a contribution used to fund the purchase of safety tools and related services, which are then donated to participating community organizations across Canada. These organizations may include, but are not limited to:

-domestic and family violence support organizations
-elder abuse prevention organizations
-child protection organizations
-animal welfare organizations

We are not a registered charity.

 

3. NO CHARITABLE DONATION OR TAX RECEIPT

All purchases made through this website are commercial transactions. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree that: Your purchase is not a charitable donation, You will not receive a charitable tax receipt
Any receipt issued is a standard business receipt only

4. USE OF FUNDS AND DELIVERY OF PRODUCTS

Upon purchase: Funds are used to procure safety tools (including but not limited to cameras, video doorbells, and personal safety devices). These tools are delivered to participating community organizations. These tools are not shipped to you

We make reasonable efforts to ensure funds are applied toward the intended purpose; however, specific product types, brands, or timelines may vary based on availability and operational needs.
 

5. ROLE OF PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS

All safety tools are donated to independent community organizations.

These organizations independently determine who receives support, manage all recipient relationships, provide any guidance or support related to use of the tools.

We do not select recipients, participate in intake decisions, influence allocation decisions, supervise or monitor the use of any tools.

6. NO ACCESS, MONITORING, OR DATA COLLECTION

We do not access, monitor, or control any devices funded through this initiative,
retain login credentials or account access, collect or store any personal data related to recipients. Once tools are delivered to participating organizations, all responsibility for their use rests with those organizations and the end user.


7. RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF DONATED TOOLS

By participating in this program, you acknowledge that donated tools are intended for direct use by individuals supported by participating organizations. Participating organizations agree (through separate agreements) that such tools are not to be used for resale, auctions, raffles, or other fundraising purposes. We are not responsible for any misuse by third parties once tools have been delivered.


8. NO GUARANTEE OF SAFETY OR OUTCOME

The safety tools funded through this initiative are intended to provide additional awareness and support only. We make no representations or warranties that any product will prevent harm, ensure safety OR deter criminal activity. Use of any device is at the discretion and responsibility of the end user and/or participating organization.


9. REFUND POLICY

All purchases are final and non-refundable. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you are contributing to a program-based initiative. funds are applied toward procurement and coordination. no physical product will be delivered to you.

10. PURCHASER INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION

By completing a purchase, you consent to us using your contact information to:

send a purchase receipt, send a thank-you message and provide occasional updates related to The Safe To Land Project. We do not sell or share purchaser information with third parties for marketing purposes. You may unsubscribe from communications at any time.


11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on this website, including branding, text, images, and materials, is the property of The Safe To Land Project and Digital Difference and may not be reproduced without permission.
 

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Safe To Land Project, Digital Difference, and their affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of funded tools, Actions of participating organizations, actions of end users OR any inability to use the services or products.

13. INDEMNIFICATION

By using this website and completing a purchase, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Safe To Land Project and Digital Difference from any claims arising from your use of this website or misunderstanding of the nature of the service.
 

14. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada.
